1 in 5 cats over 7 years of age have kidney disease
Catch it early... Ask us for a FREE kidney check...

There are approximately 10 million well cared for cats in the UK and chronic kidney disease (CKD) is thought to affect at least 20% of cats over the age of seven.

With loving attention and an active lifestyle cats can potentially live for 20 years or more. However with age certain organs begin to slow down or deteriorate and can become susceptible to disease. In early kidney disease there are no outward signs and many cases remain undetected. Furthermore cats are experts at hiding symptoms of illness so even more advanced kidney disease is easily overlooked.

With this in mind Drove Veterinary Hospital are offering cat owners peace of mind for your cat, to have a Kidney check up consultation, completely FREE of charge at one of the 3 surgeries undertaking these checks, where their urine will be tested and they will have their blood pressure monitored, again all free of charge, worth a total of £58.93. If anything untoward is discovered there will be an option to have a blood profile at a reduced cost, but there are no catches and you are under no obligations to take things any further.

All we ask is that you call in to any of our branches to collect a free of charge urine sampling kit and full instructions of how to get a sample from your cat, and to make an appointment at one of our surgeries. The earlier kidney disease can be diagnosed, the better, so if you are concerned that your cat may be displaying signs such as lethargy, increased thirst, poor appetitie or weight loss, or just you would like them to be tested anyway, we can check for kidney disease very easily and quickly.

Advances in feline medicine also mean that there are a number of options available for cats with CKD, that not only makes cats feel better but also prolong their life by a significant amount.

This offer is available from 1st February 2010 until the 31st March 2010 and is available to all cats over the age of 7 years. You must be registered or register with us to take part in the promotion
