The heart of the Drove Veterinary Practice lies within the main hospital, situated beside the M4 flyover on the way to Wroughton. The old purpose built hospital was erected in 1988, with a team of 6 - 7 Vets, offering clients and their pets a first class veterinary service in the Swindon area. Since then the practice has grown immensely, with our veterinary team increasing to 23 veterinary surgeons, 6 holding specialist diplomas and certificates and a total of 85 staff employed by the practice - hence we have outgrown the old premises and January 2005 saw the commencement of our new hospital extension. The extension and refurbishment is now complete, and was officially opened on December 7th 2005 by John Hewer Jnr, now aged 90 years old and a previous partner in the practice.

We move into the future full of anticipation and hope.
Our state of the art hospital with its sensational facilities, enables us to offer our clients unrivalled excellence in the local area and we look forward to a long and happy future with local people and their pets.

Our extended premises offer:

We offer a free registration consultation where we give a detailed examination and preventative health advice after which over the counter products and medicines may be purchased at your convenience.

We cover all out of hours problems 365 days a year - the telephone will be answered in person and the duty vet is always a member of the practice - we do ot use any deputising services.

If your pet has a problem during surgery hours, please telephone the practice immediately and we will ensure that you are offered an appointment on a priority basis. Please make it clear that the matter is not routine and we will do our utmost to attend to you at the earliest opportunity.

Along with our highly equipped Drove Hospital in Croft Road we have 10 branches in the following locations:-

In an emergency please telephone (01793) 522483 (24hrs).
