Health Planning and Preventative Medicine

Herd and flock health planning must be dynamic and cost effective, and is vital to ensure the continuing productivity of your unit. We have many years of experience in producing health and welfare plans with our clients for all classes of livestock.

Herd Health Plans

  • Farm Specific
  • Reduce losses through disease
  • Improve productivity
  • NDFAS compliant

Our health planning service involves:

  • Establishing targets
  • Agreeing interference levels
  • Creating dynamic action plans
  • Active disease surveillance
  • Simple and effective recording systems
  • Annual review

Vaccination Programmes

Records and disease surveillance on your farm are aids in developing an individual farm vaccination strategy. We also use regular bulk milk samples to assess your herd's contact with infectious diseases such as BVD, Leptospirosis and IBR.

Biosecurity
Biosecurity is vitally important on any livestock farm. We can advise you on measures to increase biosecurity and reduce the risks of buying in disease.

In an emergency please telephone (01793) 522483 (24hrs).
