Each year we ask staff and clients alike to knit purple poppies in aid of the many animal members of the military killed in battle over the years. Rightfully, military personnel are remembered with a red poppy, but hundreds of thousands of animals have died alongside them and often these sacrifices go unrecognised.
As part of the campaign the poppies were sold throughout Drove Veterinary Hospitals six branches and even receveived a request to buy one from a lady in Scotland! To date we have raised over £2000 for the Royal British Legion.
We are very proud to say that last week the hard work of all our staff and clients who knit the poppies for Drove to sell was recognised & appreciated and we won an award at the Veterinary Marketing Awareness Awards! Congratulations to everyone involved!
We hope to run the campaign again in October 2021 and beyond!
