Diagnostic and Theatre

State of the art

Our dedicated team of Vets, many of whom have Advanced Practitioner status, as well as further qualifications in a variety of areas, will always ensure your pet receives the best possible care.

At Drove we pride ourselves on the fact we have unparalleled cutting edge facilities at our main Hospital, which provides on-site 24 hour care and a 24 hour emergency service.

Theatres

All of our theatres have state of the art anaesthetic monitoring equipment and four are positive pressure gas scavenged operating theatres.

We have an Ophthalmology Theatre with specialist Ophthalmology operating & diagnostic equipment. Operations undertaken by Clare Glover a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons certified Ophthalmologist.

We have an Orthopaedic & Spinal Theatre specialising in;

Fracture repair, Joint surgery and reconstruction, Internal and external fixation techniques, Corrective procedures, Arthroscopic surgery, Spinal cord injuries and degenerative conditions.

Dental Suite

Drove Veterinary Hospital is proud to provide its clients and patients with a fantastic dental service. This includes a dedicated dental suite housing a digital dental X-Ray machine, ultrasonic scaler and piped-air polisher with drills including a special guarded one for the small furries, and various hand tools for a wide range of procedures.

Having the digital dental X-Ray allows us to take rapid pictures without long processing times and is quick and easy to email to a specialist if a second opinion is required. This lets us choose the most appropriate surgical technique, reducing anaesthetic time and potentially the cost to clients.

Imaging Suite

Digital X-Rays feed straight into your pet's medical records to ensure the vet team always have the information at their fingertips.

Drove offers the below imaging options:

Doppler Ultrasound for heart examination. This is a non-invasive test that can be used to estimate the blood flow through blood vessels by bouncing sound waves off circulating red blood cells.

Doppler, colour-flow ultrasound for state of the art internal investigation

Computerised tomography (CT) or CAT scan uses X-rays and a computer to create detailed 3D images of the inside of the body, including the internal organs, blood vessels and bones. Drove is one of the few first opinion practices in the country that can offer CT scans.

Reasonably priced too...

Looked after our pets for a while now. So caring, knowledgeable and incredibly sympathetic when dealing with sad losses. Reasonably priced too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
