Drove Vets were delighted to hold another Charity Open Day on Sunday 24 April 2022.
Visitors to were able to have a nose around Drove Veterinary Hospital and see behind the scenes.
Tours included a visit to see our Operating Theatres, CT Scanner, a demonstration of a live Ultrasound of a toy pup and a chance to try out Microchip scanning.
They also got the chance to meet and hold a wild variety of animals. Among the guest list were a variety of farm animals, Meerkats and reptiles including a Tarantula, a Bearded Dragon and two Snakes.
Games included milking a Cow, Hooking a Duck and an ‘Operation’ game. Good fun was had by everyone taking part and we saw lots of happy smiling faces. There were some fab prizes in our Grand Raffle and Tombola and we saw some wonderful face paintings.
The benefactor of our Charity Open Day for 2022 was Twigs Community Garden, we’re so pleased to have raised over £664 for such a great local Charity. Twigs Community Gardens are a colourful and vibrant set of gardens in the heart of Swindon. The gardens are a resource to give people who experience mental health problems the chance to regain confidence, self-esteem and to learn new skills.
